What is your smoking policy?

Smoking is not allowed in the dining room areas of our ships. However, smoking is permitted on the outer decks.

Is the ship handicap accessible?

The vessels are not handicap accessible, but wheelchair accessible. We have wheelchairs on the property and our operations crew will gladly assist anyone on and off the boats. Please alert World Yacht reservations to request special assistance. We want to ensure the availability and appropriate assistance upon arrival.

How early should I arrive for my cruise?

Boarding begins 60 minutes prior to the cruise. Note that the boat leaves exactly on the given sailing time and will not wait so please arrive on time.

What happens if I miss the boat?

The boat sails promptly at the listed sailing time. There are no refunds or credits offered for guests who miss the ship.

Will I get seasick?

It's unlikely. The ships operate in New York Harbor, on the Hudson River and the East River, which are all very calm bodies of water. Our ships are large and very stable, so in most cases, you can hardly tell that they're moving.

Do you still sail in the rain?

We sail in rain or shine. The dining decks are completely enclosed and are climate controlled for maximum comfort. It is common to sail in and out of rain showers during the cruise.

What should I wear?

Our dress code is jackets or dress shirts for gentlemen and business casual attire for women. Dark or dress jeans are acceptable. Please, no t-shirts, shorts, sandals or sneakers at any time.

Is parking available?

Parking is available on the pier.

How large is the yacht?

We have 3 yachts in our fleet. The Duchess is our main yacht used for the public dinner cruise. The Duchess is 160 feet long and seats up to 350 guests for dinner.There are 2 interior dining decks which are climate controlled and 1 full exterior deck with an outdoor lounge. The dance floor is located on the main deck. Our other 2 ships, the Princess and the Destiny are available for private events. Click here to read more about the ships.

How do I get to the pier?

Will I be able to find a taxi after the cruise?

Your best option is to contact your hotel concierge who will be able to assist you with your transportation needs. Otherwise there is a taxi stand next door at NewYork Waterways which operates 24 hours.

What is the difference between the Gold and Platinum packages?

Gold

Our most popular ticket option includes a delectable four course dinner to compliment the skyline. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared on-board to create hearty and healthy dishes.


Platinum

Perfect for any special occasion the Platinum package includes a four-course meal and standard open bar.

The standard open bar includes: beer, wine, soda and cocktails made from our selection of national brands including Tanqueray Gin, Absolut Vodka, Bacardi Rum, Dewar's White Label and more .


Do I need a reservation?

Yes, reservations are highly recommended. Guests are able to walk up and purchase tickets on the day of a cruise if space is available.

How far in advance should I make reservations?

If you're planning to bring a large group, call us as soon as possible or submit a form through our groups page. Longer lead time will make it easier for us to accommodate all of your preferences. Smaller parties normally book within 30 days of their planned cruise. Of course,reservations can be made right up to the day of the cruise, provided there is space available.

Which credit cards are accepted?

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Diners & JCB

Can I pay for my tickets in cash?

You can only pay cash in person. We cannot hold or book reservations via the web or phone without a valid credit card.

Can I reserve a window seat?

Yes, if available we can guarantee a window seat for an additional fee. You will be able to select this option when you reserve your tickets online. If you are purchasing your tickets over the phone ask the ticket agent about window seats. The window seats are subject to availability.

Are the prices listed inclusive of tax and gratuity?

The prices listed do not include sales tax or gratuity unless noted. For parties of eight or more, a 15% gratuity is added.

Can I reserve a cruise for someone else?

You can reserve a cruise for someone else by contacting our ticket agents at 212-630-8100. You will be required to fill out a credit card authorization form authorizing usage of your card at the time of booking.

Can I reschedule my cruise?

Reservations may be rescheduled up until 48 hours prior to the sailing date but are subject to rescheduling fees.

What is the cancellation policy?

All sales are final. There are no refunds or credits offered once a reservation has been made. Reservations may be rescheduled up until 48 hours prior to the sailing date and are subject to rescheduling fees.

Do you offer a child rate?

We offer lower rates for children 12 and under on our brunch & lunch cruises.

Can I bring children on the cruise?

Yes children are welcome on-board; however children over age 3 will require a cruise ticket.

Is there a photographer on-board?

Yes, there is an on-board photographer who will take your picture without any obligation to purchase. If you choose to purchase the photo, it's presented in a souvenir frame and is a great way to remember your cruise.

Where will I be seated on the ship?

All of our guests are seated at private tables. The size of your group will determine the number of tables you are assigned.

Do we pass the Statue?

Yes. World Yacht departs from Pier 81, at West 41st street and the Hudson River.During the cruise, you will experience the dramatic views of the Manhattan skyscrapersand bridges that make the New York skyline so impressive. The highlight of the cruiseis a close-up look at the majestic Statue of Liberty. Note that the route may changefor certain special events e.g. July 4th. Please check the details for the specificevent for more information.

What is the cruise route?

The cruise slips down the Hudson, around the tip of Manhattan, up the East River,under the world famous Brooklyn Bridge and far enough north for passengers to catch a glimpse of the pristine architecture of the United Nations. The ship turns around and sails to the Statue of Liberty. Then the ship heads back up the Hudson to Pier81. Other well‐known landmarks are also visible along the cruise including the World Financial Center and the beautiful Empire State and Chrysler Buildings. Note that the route may change for certain special events. Please check the details for the specific event for more information.

How long is the trip?

Dinner cruises sail for 3 hours and the Sunday brunch cruises sail for 2 hours. For special event sailing schedules please refer to the special events page

We do not offer a children’s menu on our cruises, however the brunch buffet has a wide selection that can accommodate most children. Click here to view our dinner menus.

Yes, there are vegetarian options offered on our menu. If you have any dietary needs please inform the agent when making your booking so that we can try to accommodate you.

Do you offer beverage packages?

Gold, Brunch and Lunch customers can prepay for beverage packages. You will be able to select this option when reserving your ticket online. If you are purchasing your tickets over the phone please ask the ticket agent about our beverage packages.

Do I have to pre-select a menu?

For parties of 30 or more guests we require a pre-selection of menu options to expedite the ordering and serving process. This ensures that your entire group will be served at the same time. For parties less than 30 guests, you may select your choices from our menu at your table.

What is included in the standard open bar? (Platinum Package)

The standard open bar includes: beer, wine, soda and cocktails made from our selection of national brands including Tanqueray Gin, Absolut Vodka, Bacardi Rum, Dewar's White Label and more

Can we bring our own wine?

Yes, we charge a corking fee of $30 per bottle. Please notify us at the time ofyour reservation.

Can I bring a large group on your cruises?

Yes, we can accommodate any size group up to 500 people. No matter the size of yourparty, we have a package that fits.
